Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information DataTrackers collects, how we use it, who we share it with and what rights you have over it. It applies to the DataTrackers platform (app.datatrackers.co) and to this website (datatrackers.co).

1. Who we are

DataTrackers is operated by Data Trackers S.A.S. (CUIT 33-71657991-9), with registered office at Av. Luis María Campos 1137, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina ("DataTrackers", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, except where section 3(c) states that we act as a data processor. We comply with Argentina's Personal Data Protection Law No. 25,326 and its regulations.

2. What DataTrackers does

DataTrackers is an online reputation management platform for multi-location businesses in Latin America. It lets a business:

  • centralize the Google reviews of all its locations in one place;
  • reply to those reviews manually, with templates, or with AI-generated drafts that the business reviews before publishing;
  • send review requests to its own customers by email and WhatsApp;
  • receive reports and alerts about its reviews and its Google Business Profile performance.

3. Information we collect

a) Platform users

For the people who use the platform on behalf of a business: name, email address, role, language preference and activity within the platform (for example, sign-ins and replies published).

b) Google user data (only with the business's explicit authorization)

When a business connects its Google account through Google's OAuth consent screen and grants the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage scope, we access, through the Google Business Profile APIs:

  • the Google Business Profile accounts and locations that the authorizing user manages;
  • reviews of those locations: review text, star rating, the reviewer's public name and profile photo as shown on Google, and the review date;
  • the replies to those reviews, including replies the business publishes from DataTrackers;
  • performance metrics of those locations as provided by Google.

We only access this data after the business authorizes it. OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted.

c) Contacts uploaded by our customers

To send review requests, a business may upload contact details of its own customers (name, phone number and email address). For this data, DataTrackers acts as a data processor on behalf of the business, which is the data controller. The business is responsible for having a valid legal basis and the necessary consent to contact those people. We process these contacts only to send the requests the business instructs and for no other purpose.

d) Technical data and cookies

Technical data needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, browser and device type, and access logs. We use cookies that are necessary for the platform to work (for example, to keep your session signed in). On this public website we also use analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site.

4. How we use information

  • To provide, operate and maintain the platform and the features the business has enabled.
  • To create and manage user accounts and provide support.
  • To send service communications, alerts and reports.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.

5. How we use Google user data

We use the data received from Google APIs only to show, reply to and analyze the reviews and the Business Profile of the same business that authorized access, and to send that business alerts and reports about them. We do not use it for any other purpose.

DataTrackers' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In particular, regarding data received from Google APIs:

  • We do not sell it.
  • We do not use it for advertising, including retargeting, personalized or interest-based advertising.
  • We do not use it to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
  • No person reads it, except (i) with the affirmative consent of the user for specific data, (ii) when necessary for security purposes, such as investigating abuse, or (iii) to comply with applicable law.
  • We only transfer it to third parties when necessary to provide or improve the features the user sees in DataTrackers (see sections 6 and 7), to comply with applicable law, or for security purposes.

6. Artificial intelligence

When a user asks DataTrackers to generate a reply draft, the text of that review (and the context needed to write the reply, such as the business name) is sent to an AI provider solely to produce that draft. The provider does not use this data to train its models. The draft is shown to the user, who decides whether to edit, publish or discard it.

7. Service providers (sub-processors)

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run DataTrackers, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only to provide their services to us. By category:

  • Hosting and database: cloud infrastructure where the platform and its data are hosted.
  • Email delivery: to send review requests, alerts, reports and service emails.
  • WhatsApp Business (Meta): to send review requests by WhatsApp.
  • AI provider: to generate reply drafts, as described in section 6.
  • Website analytics: to measure aggregate use of this website.

Replies that a business publishes from DataTrackers are sent to Google so that they appear on its Business Profile. We may also disclose information when required by law or by a competent authority.

Some of these providers may process data outside Argentina. In those cases we require them to provide an adequate level of protection, as required by Law No. 25,326.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep data while the customer's account is active. A user can revoke DataTrackers' access to their Google account at any time from https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. When access is revoked, or when the customer asks to close its account, we delete the data obtained from Google within 30 days. Contacts uploaded by the customer and other account data are deleted when the account is closed, unless we must keep certain information to comply with a legal obligation.

9. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, including encryption of Google OAuth tokens, and we restrict access to data to the people and systems that need it to operate the service.

10. Your rights

You can request access to, rectification of, or deletion of your personal data by writing to info@datatrackers.co. We will answer access requests within 10 calendar days and rectification or deletion requests within 5 business days, as set out in Law No. 25,326. If your data was uploaded by one of our customers (section 3(c)), we will forward your request to that customer and assist it in responding.

The data subject has the right to access their personal data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown, in accordance with section 14(3) of Law No. 25,326.

The Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (Argentina's Agency for Access to Public Information), as the supervisory authority under Law No. 25,326, is empowered to handle complaints and claims from anyone whose rights are affected by non-compliance with personal data protection rules.

11. Children

DataTrackers is a service for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will publish the new version on this page with its effective date and, if the changes are material, we will notify customers by email or within the platform before they take effect.

This policy is effective as of the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page.
